Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior eDiscovery Engineer to join our fast-growing and dynamic team of technical professionals. A qualified candidate will be capable of providing top-tier litigation support to our clients and stakeholders. This role requires a strong technical background in data processing and loading in leading eDiscovery platforms, proficiency in SQL and scripting languages for developing custom solutions, and automation of workflows. We are looking for a candidate who is willing and able to help grow our team’s expertise with complex problem-solving and an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
- Perform the end-to-end eDiscovery workflow, including data loading of flat files, processing of ESI, and production, ensuring compliance with ESI protocols and technical specifications.
- Manipulate and handle load-ready flat files (DAT/CSV) and other data formats, ensuring accurate ingestion into review platforms.
- Process and load data in eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, Everlaw, Reveal, and iConect, including performing administrative tasks and troubleshooting as needed.
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data handling, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and defensibility.
- Utilize SQL to query, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
- Develop and maintain custom scripts using Python or other scripting languages to automate processes and enhance data handling capabilities.
- Provide consultative guidance to legal teams, offering insights into data management strategies, workflow optimizations, and potential risk areas.
- Maintain data hygiene and governance through meticulous oversight of database archives, deletions, and migrations, particularly during platform transitions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, streamline processes, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Skills + Qualifications
- B.S. or B.A. degree from a four-year accredited college or university. Degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field are preferred.
- Strong experience with SQL and Python (or similar scripting languages) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Extensive knowledge of load-ready flat files (DAT/CSV) and experience in handling metadata fields across various eDiscovery platforms.
- Proficiency in eDiscovery platforms, including Relativity, Everlaw, Reveal, and iConect, with a focus on data processing, loading, and production workflows.
- Familiarity with best practices in data governance, data hygiene, and database maintenance and migrations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think analytically and work independently to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Strong consultative skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
